Ninety-six tires on 43 cars slashed on campus of Friends Univ.

Not long after midnight on Monday, Nov. 1, on the campus of Friends University, a security officer observed a suspicious person crouched between two vehicles in a campus parking lot. The officer attempted to contact the individual, who ran away. The officer chased the suspect, who was last seen running into the neighborhood on the 600 block of South Glenn. The officer returned to the campus and found that 96 tires on 43 cars had been slashed. Damage is estimated to exceed $13,000.

Sports Hall of Fame's loss exceeds $50,000

Sometime between 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 31, and 5:25 a.m. on Nov. 1, the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame, located at the Wichita Boathouse, was burglarized.
