Kansas Medical Center, PHS sign contract

Kansas Medical Center in Andover and Preferred Health Systems have signed a contract making the medical center part of the PHS network. It became effective Sunday, the medical center said.

The announcement continues a string of similar agreements between area hospitals and insurance companies this year that have ended more than a decade of exclusive contracts.
