Arena timeline

In April 6, 1993, Wichita voters rejected by a 2-1 margin a three-year, half-cent city sales tax to build a $61 million, 18,000-seat downtown sports and entertainment arena. In January 2010, the Intrust Bank Arena had its grand opening. Sedgwick County estimated final cost at $196 million. Visit our complete arena timeline to find out what happened in between.
