Teen births and abortions are down, but no one is certain why

Some cite reality TV, films about sexually active youths and the Internet. Some cite more effective contraceptives and straight talk in schools. Some point to the stigma of abortion and even the long economic slowdown. Whatever is driving down teen pregnancy numbers, “we call it the greatest story never told,” said Bill Albert of the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy.

Chiefs hold off Dolphins 34-15 for first win of the season

No Andy Reid-coached team has started 0-3 since his very first year in Philadelphia 15 years ago. The Chiefs avoided such ignominy Sunday by beating the Miami Dolphins 34-15 on Sunday at Sun Life Stadium. The Chiefs, after an 0-2 start, secured a much-needed road win at Miami as they stare into a schedule that includes a visit to Arrowhead Stadium by New England next Monday night followed by trips to San Francisco and to San Diego. Miami fell to 1-2.
