Wichita advocates to keep tax credits to redevelop old buildings

TOPEKA – As historic buildings age, they sometimes need a little love and a hefty state subsidy to avoid becoming useless eyesores, advocates of the state’s historic preservation tax credits said Thursday.

A Topeka man has been charged with poaching a deer that could have broken a state record that's stood for more than 35 years, according to Mike Miller, Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism information chief.
