Breakfast With the Grinch on Dec. 5 will benefit Food 4 Kids and the Envision Foundation, which helps people of all ages who are blind or have low vision.
It will be from 7 to 10 a.m. Dec. 5 at Red Bean's Bayou Grill, 7447 W. 21st St.
Advance tickets are $5 for kids 12 and younger, and $8 for others. They're available at the restaurant, the Davis-Moore Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge dealership on East Kellogg and Davis-Moore Chevrolet on West Kellogg or by calling Envision at 316-440-1526. Tickets will cost $6 and $9 at the door.
Those attending are asked to bring nonperishable food items for the Food 4 Kids program.

Male gorilla found dead at Topeka Zoo
TOPEKA — A 17-year-old Lowland gorilla has died at the Topeka Zoo.
A medical examination is planned to determine the cause of death for M'Bili. He hadn't shown outward signs of illness or distress before being found dead Saturday morning in his night quarters.
Lowland gorillas typically live between 40 and 50 years in captivity.

Nonprofits asked to submit wish lists
It's time for area nonprofits to submit their wish lists.
In late November, The Eagle will publish a wish list from area organizations that need donations and volunteers.
The list is open to nonprofit social service organizations in Sedgwick, Butler and Harvey counties. To have your group included, fill out and submit the online form at Kansas.com/wishlist.
Participants will be asked to share information on the nonprofit agency, its mission and its needs for the holiday season.
