Bishop Carroll beat North 47-20 in a game that ended after midnight at Carroll Field.

Carroll amassed 429 yards of offense.

Eagles quarterback Blake Bell completed 12 of 15 passes for 226 yards and two touchdowns. He ran for three more scores.

Behind 228 yards, Bishop Carroll jumped out to a 26-9 halftime lead.

The Eagles scored on their first three drives. Bell had touchdown runs of 1 yard and 8 yards and threw for two more touchdowns in the first half. Bell completed 9 of 11 passes for 181 yards.

North scored its touchdown late in the second quarter, when Grail Brewster found Deonte Gray for a 36-yard touchdown pass.

The game was delayed nearly three hours because of lightning. The game was not postponed because North plays Thursday night next week and the coaching staff didn’t want to lose a day of preparation.
