PERRY ELLIS
6-8, fr., Heights
Ellis dominated the lane, averaging 19.2 points, 11.7 rebounds and 61 percent shooting from the field as Heights went 16-0 in the City League on its way to a 24-1 record and the Class 6A title. Ellis had 20 rebounds in the championship, Heights' first title since 1977.
BLAKE JABLONSKI
6-2, jr., Wichita Collegiate
The best way to describe Jablonski is that he's a pure shooter. He averaged 17.2 points in leading the Spartans to a 26-0 record and the Class 3A title, shooting 51 percent from the field, 45 percent from three-point range, 84 percent from the free-throw line. He also led the team in charges taken.
LUKE MEISCH
6-6, sr., Andover
Opponents knew Meisch was Andover's go-to player, so they'd sag two or three defenders, yet he still averaged 19 points and 14 rebounds. A two-time All-Metro player, Meisch was consistent offensively and defensively, and he was savvy about the game.
MARSHALL MILLER
6-5, jr., Andover Central
The majority of the Jaguars' offense went through Miller, who led the team to the Class 5A tournament for the first time. Miller caused matchup problems because of his size, ballhandling skills and ability to shoot from the perimeter. He averaged 18 points, 6 rebounds and led the Jaguars with 3.4 assists.
JOE MITCHELL
5-11, sr., Southeast
Although Mitchell's just 5-11, he could score from anywhere on the court, whether driving inside or from three. He led the City League in scoring, averaging 22.5 points. Southeast finished second in Class 6A; Mitchell scored 32 in the semifinals, 26 in the title game.
MITCH FIEGEL
Coach, Wichita Collegiate
Fiegel led the Spartans to a 26-0 record and the Class 3A title, his fourth in 20 years at Collegiate and second in three seasons. Fiegel, who is 313-151 with the Spartans, has won 3A titles while coaching both his sons _ Cole in 2007, and Ty, a junior this season.
