KENDRA FRAZIER
6-5 senior
Labette County
Stats: Frazier had a height advantage on every opposing post player, and she used it to dominate on both ends The Grizzlies' career scoring and rebounding leader averaged 25.3 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.8 blocks and shot 54 percent. She led Labette County to the Class 4A tournament.
College: Missouri
NCAA women's tournament pick: Tennessee
Memorable moment: Scoring 34 points against Fort Scott earlier this season.
Role model: Jordan O'Brien, a former basketball player at Labette County. "She was the first girl ever to go Division I from our school, and I played with her for two years. It was a 'If she could go, I could go' type of deal."
Favorite pastime besides basketball: Future Farmers of America. "It's just like a club, a service organization. We compete in contests and stuff like that."
Coach Kristi Snider: "Kendra has really developed. She's a tall drink of water. I don't know how much she's grown since she's been here. Each year she's gotten more mature as she's grown into her body. She moves down the floor very well. She's a good rebounder and a good defender."
BAILEY GEE
5-11 senior
Andover Central
Stats: Gee was the rare post player that could run the floor for easy baskets in transition. She led the high-octane Jaguars to a 26-0 record and a Class 4A championship, the school's first. She averaged 21.7 points and 8.5 rebounds and saved one of her best performances for last, notching 22 points and 14 rebounds in the 4A championship win over Holton.
College: Missouri
NCAA women's tournament pick: Connecticut
Memorable moment: Winning the state championship. "It was awesome. I got a second and third and finally got a first my senior year. Undefeated season _ you couldn't ask for anything better."
Role model: Her father, Mitch. "I look up to him in every single way. He never gives up, he always cheers me on and I don't know what I'd do without him."
Favorite pastime besides basketball: Hanging out with teammates. "They're my team, my friends _ my family, basically."
Coach Stana Jefferson: "Bailey is a very skilled and competitive athlete who also contains all of the intangibles needed to compete and succeed at the next level. I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to coach such a special athlete for four years."
LINDSEY KELLER
6-2 junior
Goddard
Stats: Keller led the Lions to their first Class 6A tournament win and to the state championship game. Goddard's 22 wins were one shy of a school record. Keller gave the guard-heavy Lions a dominant post option, and she averaged 18.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks. She has orally committed to Oklahoma State.
NCAA women's tournament pick: Oklahoma State
Memorable moment: Beating Heights in the semifinals of the 6A tournament. "They were ranked first in the state, and it was such a big thing for us. It was pretty crazy. Everybody played really hard that game."
Role model: Mother, Donna. "She always pushes me, not just in basketball but in everything I do. She has a lot of self-motivation, and I just really respect her for that."
Favorite pastime besides basketball: Reading. "I read a lot. Pleasure reading, whatever. I like the classics and anything new."
Coach (and father) Lee Keller: "She's big and strong. She's a good teammate _ very unselfish to the point that it almost hurts us sometimes. You've got to have good guards and a good post player to be able to compete, and she gives us that good inside presence that you need."
JENNIFER LANE
5-9 senior
Wichita Heights
Stats: Lane wrapped up one of the City League's most successful careers with two Class 6A championships, a 91-9 record including 9-3 in the state tournament, and Heights' career assist record. In leading the Falcons to a fourth-place 6A finish this year, she averaged 15.8 points, 7.6 assists and 6.1 steals.
College: Virginia Commonwealth
NCAA women's tournament pick: Duke
Memorable moment: "Probably winning state twice. It was a good feeling. Winning it twice in a row is even better than winning it once."
Role models: Parents, Chris and Pam. "They've been through everything and they've helped me out a lot."
Favorite pastime besides basketball: Sleeping and eating.
Coach Kip Pulliam: "She was just a leader from Day 1 on the court and she led by example. She was a great player who didn't care what she did on the court, she just wanted to win."
JOANNA MCFARLAND
6-2 junior
Derby
Stats: McFarland, a three-year starter, set career highs in scoring (21.4) and rebounding (13.6) this season. She shot better than 59 percent and averaged two blocks. She is the third McFarland sister to be named All-State, joining Jessica (2002) and Jackie (2004). She has orally committed to Oklahoma.
NCAA women's tournament pick: Connecticut
Memorable moment: Losing to Dodge City in sub-state. "It's not a happy moment. It was the seniors' last year and we thought we had it won, then we lost. It's not a happy memory, but it's probably the most memorable."
Role models: Her sisters. "They even each other out and they've always worked incredibly hard for what they get. When I look at them, I just want to take on their work ethic and their passion for the sport."
Favorite pastime besides basketball: Reading "for fun" and volleyball.
Coach Bill Shaw: "So much of Joanna's achievements come based on her total commitment to the game of basketball. Basketball is a year-round activity for Joanna."
