America: Where people believe vaccines are dangerous and guns are not.

The fact that President Obama is "working on" reversing the recession doesn't qualify him for a Nobel Peace Prize. About the only thing he has proved so far is that he can create the largest yearly deficit in history. Is that progress?

Gee thanks, President Obama, for cracking down on credit card companies. Now all my interest rates are going up, and I have never been late or missed a payment.

I'm tired of hearing people trash the president of the United States.

White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is frustrated and angry at Wall Street firms that are paying huge amounts in compensation and benefits after accepting taxpayer assistance. I've been frustrated and angry about the raises Congress gives itself every year while average Americans continue to get poorer.

The "cuts" in Medicare that Sen. Pat Roberts keeps mentioning are not cuts in service. They are savings from having a more efficient system. Shouldn't his free license to spew this continuing misinformation in The Eagle be revoked until he gets his facts straight?

Sen. Sam Brownback doesn't need a Democrat running against him because he is one. He just doesn't know it.

Nancy Shoemaker's case is the perfect example of why we need a death penalty, especially with the weak-kneed judges that we have now.

A person who shoots a sheriff's deputy or police officer, if convicted, should get the death penalty 30 minutes later. What is the point of having a death penalty if it is not used?

The answer for what to do about the death penalty is simple: Make it easier to apply and use. It may not deter crime, but it sure stops repeat offenders.

Is the death penalty worth it? Ask the victims or families of the victims.

The letter writer complaining about the downtown YMCA being a "gentlemen's club" must not be aware of its after-school and senior programs.

If Wichita is the Air Capital of the World, why is the National Business Aviation Association convention held in Orlando?

I bet there weren't any DUI checkpoints at the Midwest Beerfest.
