— A factory that makes parts for motors plans to shut down by June 2015 and put 157 people out of work.

Maysville-Mason County Industrial Authority Director Gene Weaver says Federal Mogul is shuttering the Maysville plant as part of a realignment of its North American distribution network.

The Ledger Independent reported (http://bit.ly/1p7oMcc ) that the plant's distribution operations will be consolidated with a manufacturing and distribution facility in Skokie, Illinois and an Indianapolis.

Weaver says employees were told Tuesday of the decision to close the plant.

The company bought the plant in 1993 and is a distribution center for automotive parts.

City Manager Ray Young says he city's budget will be impacted with the loss of almost $100,000 in payroll taxes.
