Opinion Line Extra (July 16)

How can you know if you are a racist? If you say stuff such as “If President Obama were white, he would have been impeached five years ago,” then it’s a safe bet you are.

Eric Holder said he and Obama have been targets of “racial animus.” Nothing could be further from the truth. I would vote for a black man such as Herman Cain or Ben Carson faster than you can say, “Eric Holder and Barack Obama are bad men who have no business governing the USA.”

If conservatives claim no race-based animosity to President Obama, then why do they continue to complain about actions that he takes that are the same as every other president has done?

President Obama transformed our country, but in the wrong direction.

The president is responsible for the crisis at the border and will not use his phone or his pen to stop it. So far he also refuses to send the National Guard to secure the border. Is this his way of turning Texas blue?

For conservative Christians supporting deportation of immigrant children: It might be wise to brush up on your Scripture, such as Matthew 19:13-15. It could be that God is testing you.

Evidence shows that Democrats have big, smart mouths and tiny, dumb brains.

Why shouldn’t we give Gov. Sam Brownback’s tax cuts time to work? After all, we’ve given the president more than five years for his tax increases to work nationally. We’ll prove whether tax increases or tax cuts better stimulate economies.

The Republican Party is not the party of “no.” It is the party of restraint, to keep Obama from bankrupting the United States of America.

In response to “Senate leaders’ feud turns personal, public” (July 13 Eagle): Wouldn’t it be nice if we did away with political parties and everyone actually worked for what was best for their constituents instead of fighting among themselves?

Decriminalized marijuana, open carry of guns, Wichitans’ attitude toward others – ya, it’s all looking so good for all of us.

Why do radical faux-Christians cling only to the myths and fables of the Old Testament to make their arguments? Do they not believe in Jesus (New Testament)? Jesus, who was sent by God to show us sinners the Way, the Truth and the Light, actually debunked most of the Old Testament.

The Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence has filed suit against the state of Kansas for the insane gun law passed last year? Finally someone supporting my point of view. I’m supporting the center with my checkbook.

If you shop at Walmart (or Target or Dillons or wherever) and aren’t smart enough to return your cart to the cart rack, you really aren’t smart enough to shop at Walmart (or Target or Dillons or wherever).
