Folks wanting a taste of summer’s sizzle are about to get their wish.

Sunshine, south winds and temperatures climbing through the 90s are in the forecast through the weekend in the Wichita area, forecasters say. Highs today will be in the low 90s and in the mid- to upper 90s Saturday and Sunday.

Temperatures will be boosted by south-southwesterly winds that will gust into the mid-20s at times. Overnight lows will be a balmy 75 degrees or so through the weekend.
