Police issue 25 speeding tickets on West Kellogg

Wichita police issued 25 speeding tickets in an hour on West Kellogg on Wednesday morning.

Six officers were involved in the operation, which began at 10 a.m. Wednesday and focused on Kellogg near the exit for Ridge Road and Mid-Continent Airport, Lt. Dan East said. The top speed ticketed was 78 mph in a 60-mph zone, and the average speed was 71.5 mph.

Officers used LIDAR to detect the speed of vehicles driving on Kellogg.
