St. Francis Community Services will conduct a 10-week course for prospective foster parents, starting July 21 at 4155 E. Harry in Wichita.

The courses will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. each Monday through Sept. 22. There is no charge.

The course is designed to help people decide if they want to become a foster home for children in foster care or adoption programs. Foster parents are required to complete the course to be licensed in the state, St. Francis officials said.

To register for the class or get more information, call 316-831-0330, ext. 231, or go online to st-francis.org.
