Two beekeepers have been called out to deal with a crate of bees that fell off a truck during the morning commute Wednesday, authorities said.

The crate fell onto the road at 53rd Street North and Hoover Road, a Sedgwick County emergency dispatcher said. The mishap was reported at 7:35 a.m.

While the road wasn’t closed as a result of the spilled bees, motorists would be wise to keep their windows up while driving close by the location.

A Sedgwick County sheriff’s officer is at the scene monitoring the crate.
