The public is invited to attend a community engagement meeting Thursday to discuss future renovations at L.W. Clapp Golf Course, located at Harry and Oliver.

The meeting will be held at Boston Recreation Center, 6655 E. Zimmerly, at 7 p.m.

Bryan Frye, president of the board of park commissioners, will discuss the current status of the course and future options for it, including ideas for revitalization and sustainability and funding options. A discussion will follow Frye’s presentation.

The city proposed closing the course in 2011, but residents objected and the course remained open.
