KU, K-State players named to preseason watch lists

One Jayhawk and one Wildcat were named to college football preseason watch lists on Tuesday.

Kansas' Jimmay Mundine, a senior, was named to the John Mackey Award list. The honor is given to the nation's top tight end. Mundine is one of 38 nominees. He has 41 career catches for 498 yards.

Kansas State's B.J. Finney, a senior from Andale, is one of 66 offensive linemen named to the Rimington Trophy watch list. Finney is a nominee for the third straight year and will be a team captain for the third straight year.
