The third annual Southside Scorcher runs will be held July 12 to help raise money to support South High School’s sports teams.

In addition to a 10K, a one-mile run/walk is being held to honor Jim Quick, a longtime former South teacher who is battling cancer.

Races will start at 7 a.m. from South’s Carpenter Stadium, 701 W. 33rd St. South. Age categories range from under 8 to over 70.
