Police are looking for three suspects after a man was attacked and robbed Tuesday in Wichita.

A 33-year-old woman reportedly became angry at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday when her 53-year-old uncle would not give her money, Capt. Brent Allred said. The niece and a 35-year-old friend began assaulting the man in the front yard of a house in the 1700 block of North Chautauqua.

The two women took money from him while holding him down, Allred said. An unknown man showed up in a vehicle and began hitting and kicking the uncle while he was on the ground.

The uncle walked away from his niece’s house and reported the crime, Allred said. Officers found him with visible injuries to his face and hands. He was taken to Wesley Medical Center for treatment.

Officers went to the niece’s house but did not find her. They are looking for the two women as well as the man who joined in on the assault.
