Wine of the week: Guenoc White Label Cabernet Sauvignon

  • Published Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at 12 a.m.

Wine of the week

Guenoc White Label Cabernet Sauvignon, Lake County, Calif.

Recommended by: John Paladino, president of the West Wichita Wine Connection

Price: $11 and up

Tastes like: Aroma of dark fruit, high in tannins with pepper and spice

Pairs well with: Steak such as beef tenderloin

Comments: “I believe it is excellent value for being such a young wine with its flavor profile and price point,” Paladino said. “For my palate, I thought it was well-rounded and had the flavor profile that worked well with the menu on the night I sampled it, which included beef tenderloin.”
