An 18-year-old man delivering a pizza to a southeast Wichita apartment complex was beaten and robbed by an acquaintance Monday night, police said.

The incident occurred at about 9:30 p.m. at Bradford Glen Apartments, 888 S. Hydraulic, Lt. Dan East said. That’s west of I-135 and south of Kellogg.

The suspect confronted the victim and threw him against a brick wall, punching him several times in the head, East said. He took a small amount of cash and left.

The victim was taken to Wesley Medical Center for treatment of cuts and abrasions, East said. The victim and witnesses gave a description of the suspect to officers, who found him elsewhere on the apartment complex property.

He was arrested on suspicion of aggravated robbery.
