Lincoln scored in four of the first six innings and beat the Wingnuts 8-6 on Saturday night in Lincoln, Neb.

All the runs came against Wingnuts starter Justin Klipp. His problems began when he walked the first three Saltdogs he faced. Kevin Howard’s one-out double drove home all three of those runners.

The Wingnuts cut the deficit to 3-2 in the third inning. David Amberson and Ryan Khoury reached on walks. Amberson scored when Carlos Testa hit into a fielders choice, and Khoury came home on a double by Jake Kahaulelio.

After the Saltdogs scored a run in the bottom of the third, the Wingnuts once again cut the margin to one on J.T. Wise’s home run in the fourth inning.

Lincoln made it 6-3 in the bottom of the fourth on a two-run single by Jeremy Hamilton, and Brian Joynt’s two-run homer in the sixth ended Klipp’s night.
