Sedgwick County is sponsoring another remote collection site for household hazardous waste.

This one will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot west of the Wichita State University Hughes Metropolitan Complex at 29th Street North and Oliver. Residents wishing to drop off items such as paint, aerosols, batteries, used motor fluids, lawn and garden chemicals, household cleaners, fluorescent light bulbs and more should enter from Oliver.

The collection site is for residents only, not businesses. The county will not accept tires, electronics, ammunition, explosives, empty containers and controlled substances at the site.
