The Kansas Corporation Commission will meet Tuesday to approve 2014 uniform penalty assessments for trucking companies and operators that violate commission orders, decisions and regulations.

In addition to its better-known role of regulating public utilities, the commission is also in charge of regulating intrastate trucking.

The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. at the KCC headquarters, 1500 SW Arrowhead Road, Topeka.

The meeting can be viewed by teleconference at the KCC Wichita office at the Finney State Office Building, 130 S. Market.
