A stretch of the northbound lanes of K-15 in Derby will be closed for six days starting Monday, Derby city officials said.

The two northbound lanes will be closed between Emma and Main streets so a water main can be replaced. The southbound lanes will remain open.

Northbound traffic will use the turning lane. People driving north from Mulvane should consider using Rock Road, said Robert Mendoza, Derby’s director of public works.

A one-inch water main is being replaced with a two-inch line to improve service to First Presbyterian Church, 323 N. Baltimore Ave. The church needs a greater water supply because it’s adding restrooms and a commercial kitchen, city officials said.
