Lois Lerner’s statement that “sometimes stuff just happens” goes a long way toward explaining why so much “stuff” of a bovine nature is coming out of the IRS. It also indicates that she may be a very slow Lerner.

Seriously, is there anyone out there who really believes the IRS has “lost” two years of e-mails from Lois Lerner due to a computer glitch? Eric Holder needs to be indicted for obstruction of justice.

I am a 76-year-old registered independent and the current administration is clearly the most inept and corrupt one in my lifetime. How did we ever allow these folks to gain the highest offices in the land?

An estimated 1,800 of our country’s veterans die each day (657,000 annually). To say that the problems at our VA hospitals are due to a large number of veterans from recent and current wars is without merit. The problem lies with incompetent VA administrators.

How in this day and age can there still be such evil in the world? Kidnapping teenage girls. Human trafficking. Murdering prisoners of war in custody. Our Creator must look at us and say we have not come very far over the centuries.

If more guns were the answer, Nicaragua would be the safest place on Earth instead of the most dangerous.

Two words that will save America: tea party.

Hillary Clinton for president? Just what we need – another power-hungry, elitist, leftist lawyer pushing us further down the road to the misery of socialism.

Ignorance really is bliss. I started digging below the surface in politics and have found it to be really fearful stuff. Nothing has changed through history except that the rich and powerful have found different ways to use poor people as their pawns.

I believe the old prescription drugs are much better than the new prescription drugs. That’s because the old drug companies were looking for a cure while the new drug companies are looking for money.

Gov. Sam Brownback is protecting “our God-given liberties”? Please tell us what those are. I may be wrong, but I think maybe everybody didn’t get the same ones.

Don’t kid yourself – tattoos and/or piercings are not a good career move.

On I-235, I’ve been almost merged into three times in three consecutive weeks by drivers using their cellphones. Kansas only has a ban on texting while driving. Let’s just create a no-cellphone-use law and enforce it like we do seat belts.

Traveling away from Wichita in all directions I am finding lower prices for gasoline. The laws of supply and demand are not working. Big oil gouging is. Or local corporations are. There is no reason Kingman, Pratt, Newton, Salina and Blackwell, Okla., should have lower prices than Wichita.
