A Sonic employee was attacked and robbed when she delivered drinks to two customers late Wednesday night, police said.

The incident occurred at about 11:15 p.m. at the Sonic at 7702 E. Harry, near Rock Road, Lt. Dan East said. The 26-year-old employee was delivering drinks to two women when they got out of the vehicle and began punching and kicking her.

They took money and her cellphone, then drove off in a red, four-door Pontiac Bonneville, East said. The victim was not seriously injured, East said.
