Dufner played his way into a full-time spot on the then-Buy.com Tour by winning the first tournament at Crestview Country Club. His bogey-free, final-round 68 included an 8-foot eagle putt on the final hole, giving him a 72-hole total of 22-under par and a three-shot victory over David Gossett, Jeff Gove and Todd Rose. Dufner made four more appearances in Wichita before solidifying his spot on the PGA Tour. After a playoff loss to Keegan Bradley in the 2011 PGA Championship, Dufner became the fourth Air Capital Classic champion to win a major at the 2013 PGA.
