Officers responding to a burglar alarm in west Wichita on Tuesday night caught the suspect red-handed, police said.

When the officers reached G & K Tire and Auto at 810 N. Tyler, near Central, just before 8 p.m. Tuesday, they heard glass breaking inside the business, Lt. Dan East said. They then spotted a man running north from the building.

They caught the 27-year-old man after a short chase and recovered a small amount of cash taken during the burglary, East said.
