Calling all teen writers

  • Published Sunday, June 15, 2014, at 12 a.m.

Are you a high school student who likes to write? Do you like expressing your opinions about music, TV, the latest trends or news? If so, we would like your voice and ideas to be featured in this newspaper and across our digital platforms. You’ll also get the chance to interact with teens from across the area.

The Wichita Eagle is starting a teen writing board. We are accepting applications from teens who will be sophomores, juniors or seniors in the 2014-15 school year. We hope to get diverse voices from as many Wichita-area schools as possible. Members must commit to writing the occasional column or story for the WichiTalk and Go sections and our digital platforms. The board will meet throughout the school year at our downtown Wichita office.

If you’re interested in applying, please go to kansas.com/living to download the application. Deadline is July 18. If you have questions, e-mail aharris@wichitaeagle.com.
