Beck’s Farm to offer peaches, free live music on Saturday

  • Published Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 10:46 a.m.

The local peaches may not be quite ready to pick by Saturday, but those headed to Beck’s Farm north of Wichita will be able to enjoy some music and other fruit.

Scott Beck said his orchard will host something of a mini music festival from 10 a.m. to noon, with a number of different musicians expected to perform.

He said the peaches in his orchard could be a few days short of being ready to pick by this weekend, but that there will be peaches – likely from Alabama – for sale.

The orchard, which includes about 40 acres, also has picnic areas for people who want to come and just enjoy the music.

He said there is no admission charge.

The orchard is open seasonally, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

Beck’s Farm is off Interstate 35 north of Wichita. The address is 7620 S. Anderson Road, Newton.
