An 89-year-old Wichita man is missing his car after an incident while mowing his lawn around 4 p.m. Friday in the 1300 block of west Greenfield, Lt. Dan East said Monday.

The man was out mowing his yard when he tripped and fell, causing bruising and some bleeding, according to a Wichita police report. When he looked up, a stranger had approached, offering to assist the man into his house.

The stranger helped wipe off the blood and left.

At about 7:45 a.m. Saturday, the victim realized his car keys and 1995 red four-door Chrysler Concorde was missing. The car had gray pinstripes on the door.

Police have not located the car yet, and do not have any more information on the suspect, East said.
