A 20-year-old man from Cherokee died Wednesday when he was ejected from an SUV that overturned in Crawford County, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The agency said in a crash report that Kevin E. Fleck was riding in the 1996 Oldsmobile Bravada when it failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by a Chrysler PT Cruiser on its passenger side. The vehicles went into a ditch, where the Bravada rolled and Fleck was ejected, KHP said.

The 30-year-old man driving the Bravada refused medical treatment after the crash, KHP said. The 67-year-old man and 59-year-old woman in the PT Cruiser were hospitalized.

All are from Cherokee, KHP said.

The crash happened at 4:05 p.m. Wednesday at 160th Street and 510 Avenue, east of Cherokee, according to the crash report.
