Festival food

* *  out of four

Where is it? Rita’s Italian Ice booth at the WaterWalk food court

What is it? Rita’s signature Italian ice is layered in a cup with frozen custard. Customers can choose their favorite flavor of Italian ice and whether they want vanilla, chocolate or swirl custard. While the vanilla custard was a creamy treat, the Italian ice tasted like a simple strawberry slushie. The idea was clever, but this frozen treat may be better for a kid’s palate than an adult’s. Grab a napkin (or two or three or four).

How much is it? $6 for 11-ounce cup or $7 for 17-18 ounces.
