Winfield children taking advantage of a summer food program on Thursday can tour the Body Venture exhibit, a walk-through display that promotes the importance of good nutrition and physical activity.

The free exhibit will be open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at Winfield Intermediate School, 400 E. Ninth St. in Winfield. Lunch will be served to children ages 18 and under from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the site.

The traveling exhibit is being paired with the launch of the Summer Food Service Program. The program, paid for by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, offers free meals and snacks during the summer months at more than 350 sites throughout Kansas.
