Vancouver, BC (SportsNetwork.com) - Eugene Wong carded a 6-under 66 to grab a share of the lead after the opening round of the inaugural PC Financial Open.

Wong, who is a two-time winner on the PGA Tour Canada, was joined by Mario Clemens and Joel Dahmen atop the leaderboard at Point Grey Golf and Country Club.

Brad Clapp, Blake Snyder and John Catlin shot matching 5-under 67s to share fourth place. Andrew Noto, Kelvin Day, Alexis Anghert, Matthew Smith, Chris Williams, Paul Ferrier, Mark Hoffman, Devin Carrey and Seann Harlingten were all tied for seventh at 4-under 68.

Clemens was the first of the leaders to take the course and he started his round with a par on the 11th hole.

He then converted an eagle at the 12th before rolling in birdies the 15th and 18th to reach 4-under.

Back-to-back gains at the second and third moved him to minus-6, and he parred his final six holes to end there.

Wong was the next and he was the lone leader to start on the front nine, racing out of the gate with three birdies over his first four holes.

He would add birdies at the seventh, 10th and 15th to meet Clemens atop the leaderboard.

Dahmen traded a birdie at the 12th with a bogey at the 15th before moving back into red numbers with an eagle at the 18th.

A birdie at the third moved him to 4-under. After four straight pars, he capped his round with consecutive birdies at the eighth, ninth and 10th to claim his share of the lead.

NOTES: Wong collected both of his wins in 2012 at the Canadian Tour Championship and The Great Waterway Classic ... Clemens was the 2013 Mexican Amateur champion ... Dahmen is in his fifth season on tour.
