Man hospitalized after beating; suspects sought

Police are looking for two men suspected of attacking a man in north Wichita on Thursday night.

A 25-year-old man was beaten to the point of unconsciousness shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday in the 2600 block of North Grove, Lt. Dan East said. He was taken to Wesley Medical Center in serious condition. East said the victim’s condition had improved significantly overnight.

Officers are looking for two men known to the victim. One is 30 years old, the other 51.

Police aren’t sure what prompted the beating, East said.
