Police are looking for two teenagers who attacked a younger boy in Planeview and threatened him with a gun on Tuesday night.

The assault occurred at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 3700 block of East Ross Parkway, Lt. Dan East said. A 12-year-old boy told officers he was walking in the area when two acquaintances, boys ages 14 and 15, approached him and asked about his older brother.

They then began to kick him and punch him in the head, the victim told police. The 14-year-old then displayed a handgun, East said, but the 15-year-old told him not to shoot the victim.

They then ran off. The victim suffered minor injuries to his face, East said.

Police have the names of the attackers and are looking for them.
