Augusta’s Tractor Supply plans petting zoo and pet-adoption event

Tractor Supply, 10025 SW Diamond Road in Augusta, is planning animal-oriented events from May 28 through June 1, according to a news release.

The store said it will have animals from Hedrick’s Education Exotic Petting Zoo at the store during that time. Admission to the petting zoo is $1 a person and camel rides will be $7.

A pet adoption event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 31. Animals from Hickory Hollow Animal Refuge Foundation and Alex’s House Pet Rescue will be available. Those who adopt pets will receive a free bandana and special store offers.

The store also is planning a hot dog cookout and bake sale.
