Shortly before midnight Saturday, the Dillons at 8800 W. 13th St. was robbed when a man walked into the store and pointed a gun at a clerk.

The robber ordered the clerk to put all the money in a bag, according to Sgt. Ed Brower, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department. The clerk emptied out an unknown amount of cash at a drawer in a self-checkout stand.

The man then told the clerk to lie down and count to 30.

The robber left the store, at 13th and Tyler Road, and headed west on 13th Street.

Police are using video and photos of the robbery to help track down the suspect.

Brower said the suspect is a white male, weighs approximately 200 pounds and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and blue latex gloves.

The robbery happened at 11:55 p.m.
