Police are investigating allegations of child abuse in south Wichita involving a father and his four children.

The man’s wife, 44, reported to police on Thursday that her husband had been physically and verbally abusing her for several years, and doing “inappropriate things with their daughters, including having sexual contact,” said Capt. Doug Nolte.

The daughters are ages 12, 10 and 8. The father is 65. Police are still looking for the father.

A son, 14, was physically abused by the father, according the wife, Nolte said. The boy has been placed in protective custody.

The Exploited and Missing Child Unit is investigating, Nolte said.
