The Wichita City Council will meet in special session at 9 a.m. May 27 to finalize several key strategic planning issues.

Topics will include economic development, quality of life facilities, public transportation, homelessness, a long-term water source and other issues Wichita citizens have identified as critical to the community’s future.

However, City Manager Robert Layton said Thursday that deliberations on a long-term water source may not be complete by the meeting.
