Wichita Independent Neighborhoods meeting to focus on water

The topic of water will be focus of the next Wichita Independent Neighborhoods meeting on Monday.

The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at the United Way building, 245 N. Water. It is free and open to the public.

Ben Nelson, strategy chief for the the city’s Public Works and Utilities Department, will be the featured speaker. He will discuss the city’s concern about water capacity at Cheney Reservoir and the City Council’s study of four options to extend Wichita’s water capacity beyond 2060.
