Father of the Year awards dinner to benefit American Diabetes Association

The Wichita Father’s Day Council will host this year’s Father of the Year Awards on June 12 at the Wichita Boathouse, 515 S. Wichita St.

A reception begins at 5:30 p.m.; dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.

Honorees include local TV personality Brett Harris; Premier Martial Arts – Derby coach Mark Philbrick; Kansas Foot Center physician Thomas Truong, and U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Terrance Williams, who is the non-commissioned officer in charge of McConnell Air Force Base honor guard.

Tickets to the event are $175 apiece; $125 of the price is tax deductible. A variety of sponsorships and group prices for tables are also available, starting at $1,000; a portion of those costs are also tax deductible.

Proceeds benefit the American Diabetes Association.
