Pedestrian run over, killed during an argument with driver

Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a person who was run over and killed during an argument early Sunday morning in Kansas City.

Police responded to a report of a vehicle and pedestrian accident about 1:30 a.m. in the 5500 block of East Truman Road.

Police determined that the driver intentionally struck the victim after a disturbance between the two.

The driver fled on foot and was last seen running north through the woods, according to police.
