Country music legend Loretta Lynn will perform in September at the Orpheum Theatre, 200 N. Broadway, the venue announced Friday.

Tickets to the concert, scheduled for 8 p.m. Sept. 20, go on sale at 10 a.m. May 16. Tickets are $45 to $70 and are available at Select-A-Seat outlets, at 316-755-SEAT or at www.selectaseat.com. They also can be purchased in person at the Intrust Bank Arena box office, participating Dillons stores and Plant Employee Clubs.

Lynn, 82, is a chart-topping, old-school country music singer-songwriter best known for hits such as “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” “Don’t Come Home A-Drinkin’” and “Your Squaw Is On the War Path.”

“To make it in this business, you either have to be first, great or different,” Lynn said in a news release issued by the Orpheum. “And I was the first to ever go into Nashville, singin’ in like the women lived it.”

Lynn last played the Orpheum in 2010.
