The city is trying to put something for everyone to vote for in a proposal to increase our sales tax. City leaders should remember that we are all trained negative voters. There will also be something for everyone to vote against.

Odd, very odd – the Sedgwick County commissioners spent a good part of a recent meeting bragging about their programs and solutions to keep criminals out of the county jail, but now they are closing the boys ranch.

While I’m disappointed in the decision by the Wichita school board, I am simply stunned at the lack of respect Lynn Rogers afforded a fellow board member, Joy Eakins. His condescension toward her was palpable, and his remark to “roll your eyes if you like” was both rude and unprofessional.

I’ve been waiting such a long time for a group like Women for Kansas (May 5 Eagle). Maybe women joining together can finally get something done about Gov. Sam Brownback and Secretary of State Kris Kobach.

It would be my guess that the leadership and most of the supporters of Women for Kansas are the same Democrat liberals who have opposed Brownback and other conservatives since before his election. Nothing new here, folks. Move along.

So let me get this right: If you are a conservative or Republican who doesn’t agree with everything Brownback is doing, your only choice is to vote for a liberal like Paul Davis? Why would we push any liberal agenda similar to Obama’s in Kansas, people?

Brownback and the Legislature are on a mission from God to destroy our judicial and public educational institutions because of their Scripture-inspired fervor against gay rights and evolution. Please stop their crusade next November.

Four Americans died and Hillary Clinton lied.

Do Rep. Tim Huelskamp’s constituents really want their tax dollars spent for a $5 million reward over Benghazi? Are there that many wealthy farmers and ranchers out there who agree with just squandering money? My dad sure didn’t.

For sale: One rain gauge, “like new” condition.

Is there a law written somewhere from long, long ago that said it was legal for the male population to go without shirts? I would like to see that law in writing.

I’m pretty sure I have the right to bring the wrath of God down upon mankind if I so choose.
