Police are investigating a shooting incident in north Wichita on Sunday afternoon.

The incident was reported at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Lt. Dan East said. A 26-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman were driving east on 25th Street North when someone fired several shots near Hillside from a silver Chevy Impala that had begun following them.

Several bullets hit their car, the victims said, but they were not hurt. Bullets also struck two houses and a parked car, East said.

It’s not clear at this point whether the shooting was gang-related, East said.
