A Valley Center man was hurt when his motorcycle crashed on I-235 Sunday night, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported.

Robert D. Holt, 51, was ejected at about 8:20 p.m. Sunday when his motorcycle left the bypass just south of the exit for Meridian and K-96 and struck a guardrail, according to a report issued by the highway patrol.

He was taken to Via Christi St. Francis, where he was in critical condition on Monday. Investigators aren’t sure why Holt’s 2006 Harley-Davidson left the road and struck the guardrail.
